Hello to all our supporters back home in the UK - from Austria!

Saturday 26th July

It has been a day of mixed success for the English and Welsh teams today. For the first time the sun came out properly - NO RAIN! However, as the temperature is rising so are the midges, but we can't complain. It's lovely not to be covered in mud.

The competition moved outdoors for the fixed obstacles, and fortunately the going was much better. We saw some excellent performances from our young drivers, and some good fast times and tight turns! The course even included an option to go up a bank. They had all our supporters the edge of their seats cheering them on as loudly as possible.

For the 13-14 years class Alice Stables took fourth place for Wales, which Michael Hodgson was seventh for England. In the 15-16 years we had our best result of the day with Charlotte Snow in SECOND place and Katie Bell in fourth. Well done girls.

In the 17-18 years we happily managed to have four in the top ten. Well done again to Harriet Bradford (sixth), Mark Bell (seventh), Frank Campbell (eighth) and Emily Ham (ninth).

The commentary for the fixed obstacles was very entertaining. Michael Hodgson's pony Brownie was called a "little superstar" after his flying round, and Roger Campbell was complimented on his good backstepping for brother Frank, who gave us a real edge-of-the-seat round!

Only one day to go now, so keep your fingers crossed for us tomorrow. Obstacle pictures will be added to the photo gallery as quickly as we can!
